From Hooksiel you continue your journey and reach the picturesque village of Wangerland. On your way, you will pass the impressive Fischhausen Castle, a majestic 16th century castle whose historical splendor will immerse you in times gone by. Here, the gorgeous North Sea coast accompanies you on your way along a few kilometers, while you enjoy the gentle breeze and the endless horizon. Along the way, you’ll also pass the captivating Automobile & Toy Museum, which will delight you with a fascinating collection of historic vehicles and nostalgic toys.

You’ll traverse downtown Norden while enjoying the hustle and bustle. Here you will encounter the East Frisian Tea Museum, a real insider’s tip for all lovers of the delicious hot beverage. Amidst the cozy atmosphere of the tea museum, you will immerse yourself in the traditional culture of tea drinking and let yourself be enchanted by the fascinating stories surrounding East Frisian tea. From the north, your journey takes you along picturesque country roads back to the heart of Wangerland to the Great Sea. At the Big Sea campsite, treat yourself to another night and have the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking view from the observation deck and take some unforgettable photos of the picturesque landscape before continuing your journey.

From the Great Sea you will continue your journey and reach the charming city of Emden on the Ems River. Emden awaits you with a variety of fascinating sights, including the renowned Kunsthalle. This museum of modern and contemporary art presents you with an impressive collection of works that will appeal to your senses and arouse your artistic curiosity. In Emden, you can spend an entire day exploring the city and enjoying the diverse cultural offerings this vibrant city has to offer.

Your journey continues along the Ems River before heading inland to Wiesmoor to the Ottermeer. Camping and Bungalow Park Ottermeer offers you an ideal stopover for another relaxing night. Here you have the opportunity to visit the Gate and Settlement Museum and get a fascinating insight into the history and culture of this region.

From Wiesmoor you continue your journey southwest again and finally reach the historic town of Leer. At the mouth of the Leda into the Ems, Leer awaits you with its picturesque charm and captivating sights. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the imposing Evenburg Castle and be impressed by its majestic architecture. Leer’s old town invites you to take a relaxing stroll through charming alleys and past historic buildings that tell you about times gone by. You can spend a full day in Leer exploring its many cultural offerings, including the impressive Ostfriesisches Landesmuseum.

You continue your journey along the Leda river, which leads you to the Ems dike, where you reach your next stop – the Am Emsdeich” amusement park. Here you can get information about the region at the tourist information office and visit the museum farmhouse Neemann directly on site. Here you will have the opportunity to admire agricultural equipment, a traditional blacksmith’s shop and many other fascinating exhibits that will give you an insight into the rural life of times gone by.

From the Emsdeich amusement park, follow the Ems downstream and eventually reach Papenburg. Here you have the opportunity to go on a city trip and visit famous sights such as the Von-Velen complex or the impressive Altenkamp estate. The rich history and impressive architecture of Papenburg will transport you to past centuries and let you feel the special atmosphere of this city.

You will then travel via Cloppenburg to the Hanseatic city of Bremen. Here you can reach the motorhome site at the Kuhhirten directly at the Weser. Feel free to take more than one night to explore the Hanseatic city, because there is much to discover. Visit the impressive Kunsthalle with its extensive collection, which includes masterpieces from different periods of art history. The Metropoltheater and the Focke Museum are further cultural highlights that offer you an insight into the diversity of the arts. In Bremen, it is worth spending more than one night to explore the historic Old Town, the famous Böttcherstraße and the stunning Bremen Town Hall with its impressive architecture.

Your route will take you downstream of the Weser River through a picturesque rural landscape to Hoya, where you will reach the campsite Weserblick. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the geographical center of Lower Saxony and explore the Martinskirche Cultural Center, which will delight you with its cultural events and exhibitions. In the Samtgemeinde Grafschaft Hoya you can take your time and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings to the fullest.

For you, the journey now continues along the idyllic Weser River towards the Aller River. You will cross the enchanting Rodewald Lichtenheide, a breathtaking forest landscape that stretches over rolling hills and picturesque valleys. The lush vegetation and the chirping of birds accompany you on your way to Nienburg/Weser. Here you make your next stop at the Oyler Straße camper site, which is located in the middle of a green oasis. Take a deep breath and feel the harmonious atmosphere of this place.

Take the time to explore Nienburg an der Weser and absorb the historic city. Stroll along the cobbled streets lined with charming half-timbered houses and marvel at the imposing architecture of St. Martin’s Church. The city’s landmark, the beautiful Weser promenade, invites you to linger and offers a magnificent view of the river. Enjoy the peace and serenity of this place before you start your journey to the next stopover well rested.

Your route now continues along country roads that take you through various moors and nature reserves. As you slowly traverse the countryside, you will be immersed in unspoiled nature characterized by rolling hills, lush meadows and clear waters. Imposing flocks of birds majestically pass over you as you pass the picturesque body of water “Dümmer”. The reflective surface of the lake and the gentle lapping of the water give this place an almost magical atmosphere.

Finally, you will reach the Alfsee in Rieste, a paradise for nature and leisure activities. The Alfsee Holiday and Adventure Park awaits you with a wide range of entertainment and recreation. Feel free to spend a night or two here to enjoy the many recreational opportunities. Explore the Alfsee Maze near the course, a maze of green hedges that will take you on an exciting journey of discovery. Or dive into the refreshing waters of the lake and enjoy the cool water on hot summer days.

After a restful night, you will continue your journey, this time towards the Dutch border. The country roads wind through gentle landscapes and offer you impressive views of the surrounding nature again and again. As you slowly make your way, you can fully enjoy the peace and quiet of this rural area.

Finally, you will reach Bad Bentheim, a charming town with a fascinating history. At the Bad Bentheim RV park you are sure to find a free spot for your vehicle while you visit the castle park and the imposing Bentheim Castle. The castle, perched high on a hill, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and the surrounding countryside. Immerse yourself in times gone by as you wander through the historic walls and discover the secrets of the castle.

The city center of Bad Bentheim is right next to the campsite, which is why a drop or two of wine in your blood won’t matter while you enjoy the cozy sidewalk cafes. Soak up the charming atmosphere as you stroll through the quaint streets and explore the variety of local stores and restaurants.

Sober and rested, the next day we cross the state border into North Rhine-Westphalia. The country road takes you through an idyllic landscape characterized by rolling hills, green fields and romantic villages. As you make leisurely progress, you will be enchanted by the natural beauty of the surroundings.

You will pass Emsdetten, a charming town near Münster, known for its historic old town and picturesque half-timbered houses. Take a moment to stroll through the narrow streets and enjoy the historic flair.

The ride continues through the picturesque countryside until you finally reach Bad Rothenfelde, your destination on this trip. Once you arrive at the Campotel, leave your vehicle and hop on the bikes you brought or rented. Drive into town and immerse yourself in the relaxed atmosphere of Bad Rothenfelde.

Visit the enchanting rose garden, which is a real feast for the eyes with its fragrant flowers and colorful beds. Be enchanted by the different types of roses and enjoy the beguiling scent that is in the air. Or head to the graduation house, an imposing structure known for its healing properties.
