When you think of the Wallenstein Days in Stralsund, you think of cannon fire in your ears, gun smoke in your nose and colorful market hustle and bustle in front of your eyes.

Also this year there will be a colorful hustle and bustle in the old town of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund. From the Old Market, the heart of the Old Town, Wallensteintage stretches through the city. Landsknechte and horsemen seek their way through the alleys and streets. There is a parade, battle displays, plague procession and stage program at one of the largest folk festivals in northern Germany.

Highlights of the traditional folk festival are the baroque fireworks, a parade and the evening, so-called plague procession.
