When the cold season begins and the days get shorter, the pre-Christmas coziness moves into Nienburg’s old town. You can browse, linger and shop around the church, the historic town hall and the half-timbered buildings.

During the Advent weekends, regional associations, volunteers and artisans offer their products and Christmas delicacies in pine-decorated wooden stalls on the church square (opening times: Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m.).

On the market square, guests can stroll through a small food mile and enjoy the pre-Christmas atmosphere (opening times: Mondays to Thursdays 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sundays 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.).
