We aim to entertain and delight our audiences every summer with an impressive and outstanding classical music event.
Our aim is to inspire people for opera & operetta and to pass on our passion for this music. This year’s 16th Wörthersee Gala will take place at the Casineum Velden. The classical gala concert is organized by soprano Marilene Novak and has become a fixed star in Carinthia’s cultural summer: the soprano will perform catchy classical tunes together with Carinthian baritone Georg Klimbacher : Famous melodies from opera and operetta such as “Ein Mädchen oder Weibchen” from Mozart’s Magic Flute, the dreamy “Lied an den Mond” from Dvorak’s Rusalka, “Lippen schweigen” from Lehar’s Merry Widow and other wonderful classical music hits will sweeten the audience’s summer night. The evening will be hosted by opera expert Gerhald Pohl, who will tell witty and interesting stories about the pieces. The soloists will be accompanied by the Canta Classica Ensemble, which is made up of 6 top local musicians.
They will also perform solo contributions.
All acoustic and completely live without amplification!
