Hanau

Brothers Grimm National Monument - Starting Point of the German Fairy Tale Route
Hanau is the birthplace of the world-famous linguists and collectors of fairy tales Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. The Brothers Grimm town has a proud history and a flourishing economy in the upper center of the Main-Kinzig district, whose history goes back to the time of the Romans. In addition to historical sights, the city also offers ten museums, numerous galleries and over 1000 events per year. A highlight is the Brothers Grimm Festival, which enchants adults and children alike every summer in the covered amphitheater of Philippsruhe Castle.
