Night watchman Karl-Heinz Engelhardt will then open the season and entertain locals and guests with his rhymes. With humorously critical verses he looks at the development of the spa town and considers current events. As the longest-serving night watchman, he has been roaming Bad Rodach’s historic alleys for many years with an attentive audience and lets out the call “Hear ye people and let me tell you…”.

This year, on some Thursdays, the night watchman will be assisted by our city guides, who will lead you through the historic old town of Bad Rodach in authentic costumes.

Up to and including September 7, there is now a night watchman appearance or a costume tour on Thursdays at 8 pm. The meeting point is always at the Powder Tower.
Every first Thursday of the month, starting at 7:30 p.m., there is an additional musical treat. Bands from the surrounding area entertain guests with a stand-up concert. After the tours, there is the possibility to chat with the night watchman in a Bad Rodach pub about the happenings in the town and to let the evening come to a harmonious end.
