Motorhome port at Schachtholm NOK airfield

Here in the green there are 52 RV pitches directly on the Kiel Canal only a road separates the NOK from the motorhomes. Right next to it is the Schachtholm airfield and a nice inn called Himmelsstürmer.
Please note that there are no sanitary facilities on site at the motorhome port at Schachtholm NOK airfield and that arrival is only possible with a motorhome incl. a separate wet cell is possible.

Rendsburg High Bridge: The Rendsburg High Bridge is a railroad bridge built between 1911 and 1913, which connects the Nord- Baltic Sea Canal bridged in Rendsburg. The “iron lady” is the landmark of the city of Rendsburg and one of the most important technical monuments in Germany.

Tunnel: A car tunnel and a pedestrian tunnel cross under the canal near Rendsburg. In 1961, the 1,278 m long car tunnel inaugurated. In 1965, pedestrians and cyclists also had their tunnel. You can get into the 130m long tube by elevator or the
Escalator, which is one of the longest in Europe.
