National Monument Camp Ammersfoort

A former concentration camp from World War 2.
The Nationaal Monument Kamp Amersfoort is located on the border between the municipalities of Leusden and Amersfoort. In the years from 1941 to 1945, approximately 37,000 prisoners were interned in the camp, which was used by the SS as a transit and prison camp. The camp was completely dismantled after the war. The completion of the memorial took place in 2004.
