– and that for six days – almost unbelievable things happen in Verden:

There are vehicles that hurl people through the air. A Ferris wheel taller than houses, spaceships landing on the street, children’s mouths glued shut with cotton candy and ice cream. A Pöttjer market where you can find what you never missed, but always wanted. Verdeners who can not find their bed for six days.

In short: A city stands on its head

For all those who know the Verden Domweih, this is nothing new. For everyone else, maybe still. How do you explain what makes our Domweih special to someone who has never been?

The fact is, to be able to talk, you simply have to have been through the whole thing once. Then you know why the Verden Domweih is something special and why acquaintances, friends and relatives flock to Verden.

Not for nothing the Domweih is carried to the grave on the last day with great participation.
