...German alpine road
For motorhome travelers arriving from outside of Bavaria, the campsite in Sulzemoos is a good place to stay and the starting point for the remaining tour along the edge of the Alps.
South of Munich you can easily reach the ski resorts Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald via the motorway 95.
Whether you are at the mountain Wank or below the Zugspitze in Grainau or even with a view on the mountain range Karwendel in Mittenwald - the recovery is guaranteed.
Crossing the German alpine road the journey leads to the east and you can enjoy your mountain tour in the Berchtesgadener Land where you can test the skills of your motorhome on the highest-located road in Germany, the Rossfeldpanoramastraße.
Northwards you leave the alpine area, but close to the border of Austria you can have a pleasant stay at the two campsites in Bad Füssing and in Bayerbach.
Finally, however, it goes up again.
In the Dreiländereck of Austria, Czech Republic and Germany, this route recommendation ends at the Knaus Campingpark in Neureichenau-Lackenhäuser including hiking trip to the „Dreiländerstein“.
