... and lakes

Most motorhome drivers have their bikes with them anyway. On this route suggestion you should not forget: In Nienburg you can cycle along the „Weserradweg“ and enjoy a cozy bicycle tour directly starting at the campsite. In Bad Rothenfelde you can go on the cycle paths somewhat sportier again and climb the heights of the Teutoburger Waldes. On the next station in Bad Bentheim

you can already feel the influence of the Dutch and an excellent cycling system allows for cross-border tours.

The situation is neither different in Bocholt and on the „Womopark Moyland“ near Kalkar. In Xanten one would like to follow the „Rheinradweg but admitting that the archeology park is of course phenomenal, so you should make a bike break here.

In Issum you get the bike back from the luggage rack and take a trip to the nearby monastery „Kloster Kamp“ with its wonderful monastery garden, while in the city „Haltern am See“ you prefer to grab the swim shorts, go to the beach and dive into the cool water.

The tour ends with a bike trip on the castles-route in Nordkirchen. If necessary you can go on without your bike here because the baroque castle is accessible from the campsite within walking distance. On request, in the evenings the travel journalist Michael Moll holds one of his travel lectures open air.
