Opened in July 2015
Nestled between the huge mountain massifs around Timmelsjoch and Jaufenpass and the simultaneous valley opening to the Meran Basin, the newly built campsite offers the ideal toll-free access as an alternative to the Brenner motorway. On the edge of the national park Texelgruppe lies our quiet and sunny 4 star campsite Zögghof, which is laid out in terraces. The campsite is comfortable and within easy reach and offers even generous pitches for large motor homes, panoramic view included. South Tyrolean hospitality and perfect service on the campsite as well as an ideal starting point for excursions make the place a real secret tip.
38 pitches for mobile homes and caravans, eight beautiful bungalows and tent pitches make the complex the ideal holiday destination for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts, recreation seekers and families. The campsite of family Pirpamer is a five-minutes walk away from the center of St. Leonhard and offers a fantastic view on the surrounding countryside from every pitch. Modern comfort as well as friendly and personal care complete the holiday flair.

Mountain biking in the Passeier Valley. Downhill trails are directly accessible from our campsite.
Cycling enthusiasts will be completely satisfied with the Passeier Valley. From a comfortable cycling trip along the passways to challenging mountain biking tours through the mountainous landscape or journeys with the racing bike to the popular passes Jaufenpass and Timmelsjoch - the right thing for everyone.
The Passeier Valley, an absolute must for every racing fan.
Every year, the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon inspires thousands of racing fans. The most challenging sections of the route lead through the Passau Valley. Especially in the spring the participants of the marathon have the ideal conditions to prepare themselves for the sporting event. While the Jaufenpass (2,095 m) is accessible all year round, the Timmelsjoch (2,500 m) can be climbed from the end of May.
Fishing in the Passeier Valley
Beautiful nature, crystal clear water, this is what attracts anglers ... You need the Italian fishing license to fish in the Passeier Valley. The license is available in the tourist offices St. Martin and St. Leonhard for € 33.00 and is valid for 10 years. In addition to the license you need a fishing water card (day ticket) for 30,00 € (Zone B) or 35,00 € (no kill) with which you can fish in the Passer from St. Leonhard to Quellenhof (from 2nd Sunday in February to 30 September - about 10 km). Fishing is permitted from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.
Recreation area with fishpond Sandhof
The newly established recreation zone with fishpond at the Sandhof is accessible to the locals as well as to our guests. Children playfully catch the first fish and are enthusiastically supported by their parents. Some tourists have already discovered the new leisure offer for themselves and enjoy the feel-good atmosphere which you can enjoy at the fishpond.
The dream of flying is as old as humanity. You can see the Passau Valley from above, fly over roofs, tree tops and meadows. No athletic skills or knowledge are required: you only need good shoes and warm clothing.
Hiking in the Passeier Valley
„Numerous marked and well signposted hiking trails suitable for every season“ is the easiest way to describe the hiking network in the Passeier Valley. In the spring, walk along the ancient artificial irrigation canals, the „Waalwege,“ through flowering apple orchards. The summer attracts with mountain pastures in the nature park Texelgruppe or the Hirzer Hochplateau with the largest alpine roses area of South Tyrol. The autumn enchants the valley in the most beautiful colors and due to pleasant temperatures many peaks can be reached until the end of October. Even with baby buggies young families can discover the beauty of our Ötztaler and Stubai mountain pastures. On the huts you will find a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, where you can quickly forget the everyday life. Source: passeiertal.de
