Rabitt and hedgehog are already there - you will also reach us! In the historic old building of the Buxtehude Museum the fairy tale is told and all sorts of curiosities are shown. Little fairy fans can try out the „Igelimat“ . You will find other interesting objects on the other floors of the museum. In addition to the typical filigree jewelery, the world of old craftsmanship is exhibited. Tools such as pulling knives, pincers and milling slides will take you on a journey into the past. During the period of the reconstruction of the Buxtehude Museum you can reach the old building via St. Petri Square and it is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm (www.buxtehudemuseum.de).
International fairy tale festival Every second years the international Fairytale Festival takes place in Buxtehude with many events around legends, stories and fairytales. The festival visitors can also attend lectures, readings or additionally theatrical performances, and they can also be active in participating games. The next fairy tale festival is scheduled to take place in 2018.
