Lake Haidersee, one of the most beautiful natural lakes in the Alps, has a water surface area of 89 hectares and a maximum depth of 15 meters.
On the shoreline, which is approx. 5 km long, there is a Nordic walking and hiking trail, a cycle path with minimal differences in altitude.
Lake Haidersee is a popular lake for ice sailors and snowkiters in winter.
About 50 meters away is the valley station of the Haideralm cable car, which takes you to the ski area in winter and to the hiking paradise at 2200 meters in summer.
