Arnoldstein as the intersection of Carinthia, Italy and Slovenia offers an active nature experience in the border triangle in both summer and winter. Hikers encounter many sights along the cultural hiking trail. The Gail cycle path offers numerous cycle tours in the immediate vicinity.
The campsite is just 4 kilometers from the freeway and 8 kilometers from the border with Italy.
There is a good restaurant in the village, the Wallner Wirt, a good pizzeria and an excellent bakery. There are also several grocery stores, ice cream parlors, bars and snack stores in the village.
